The Bristol General Hospital Story Project
Scoping content and best practice for the gathering and curating of personal histories and memories, as part of the planned transfer of NHS services to the new South Bristol Community Hospital in April 2012. Partnered with communications specialist, Meryl Coleclough CIPR.
Public launch of M Shed, the new museum of Bristol June 2011
Anna Farthing was hired by Bristol Museums Galleries and Archives as Creative Producer to devise and deliver a week-long programme of activity. Events included an opening ceremony reinventing Bristol's creation myth of Gorum and Vincent, a Procession of Professions, and special days for under 5's and for older people. Participatory activities included drawing, music, dancing and the 0117 Film Challenge.

Downs 150 Celebrations
Anna Farthing directed Bristol Old Vic Theatre School Students in an open-air performance celebrating the history of this space for a grand public picnic on 22nd May 2011.

Public launch of the National Museums of the Royal Navy
Media and production support for a VIP event alongside HMS Victory. Culminated in a 64 gun broadside from special effects company, Master Gunner.

Recalling Paul Robeson - Bristol Old Vic & Colston Hall
A festival of performance, workshops, reminiscence, exhibition, and online digital stories celebrating the life and legacy of this fore-runner of the Obama presidency. Included performances of Call Mr Robeson by Tayo Aluko, which has since toured successfully all over the UK and USA. Read more

Destination Freedom, part of the launch of The International Slavery Museum, Liverpool
Performed in the Anthony Walker suite, a new play written and directed by Anna Farthing, about William and Ellen Craft and their journey from slavery to emancipation in 1850.
